Likes: It's a benchmark ball that isn't completely one-dimensional/condition specific!

Dislikes: The fact that I didn't have it last year in El Paso

I missed out on the original Brute, but if it was anywhere near as solid as the Brute Strength, then I truly missed out. For me, the Brute Strength is going to be the first piece out of the bag. It gives me control all the way through the lane so that I know exactly what the pattern is doing.

Now, at this point you may be saying, "so what? All benchmark balls do that!" That may be true, but what the Brute Strength does that others have not (at least for me) is serve a purpose on more forgiving conditions as well. Typically, my benchmark balls have been great when the lanes are tough, but they've been fairly useless on house shots or any less-demanding patterns. As such, I've been stuck with balls that only get used once in a while. That isn't the case with the Brute Strength. This ball can be used on the challenging patterns and the soft stuff alike. It just seems to have a nose for the pocket!

If you're looking for a great all-around bowling ball, one that can be used on just about anything you'll face, do yourself a favor and pick up the Brute Strength!
